Are you on board?
A 2-hour consultation session with Offset Projects.
FREE l 16 - 21 years | Thursday 14 November | 5.30 - 7.30pm | Big Shop Friday
Are you aged 16-21 with an interest in the written or spoken word, theatre production, storytelling, and the performing arts? We are looking for 10 people to share their experiences and opinions with us as we consult with Milton Keynes’ performing arts community on behalf of MK based organisation The Play’s The Thing Theatre Company. You do not have to have a pre-existing relationship with Offset or The Play’s The Thing Theatre Company to take part!
This one-off session will take the form of a conversation inviting you to contribute your opinion and insights regarding youth leadership opportunities within MK’s performing arts scene. As an organisation The Play’s The Thing Theatre Company are keen to learn from what you tell us to help shape their future programmes.
All attendees will receive £20 as a thank you for contributing their time and opinions to this consultation. Booking is essential and spaces are limited. Book now for just you, or you and a friend below.
Location
Big Shop is located at the bottom of the multi-storey carpark behind John Lewis, and directly opposite MK Theatre.

We aim to make all our workshops accessible to those attending. If, before booking, you have a particular access need and would like to discuss the support you may require, please get in touch. We’d be happy to hear from you. Contact us here.
Background Information
In 2022 The Play’s The Thing Theatre Company launched their first Creative Youth Board alongside their Taking The Stage Festival hosted by MK Gallery. Envisaged as a youth-led programme, involving regular board meetings and mentorship from professional practitioners, the programme has supported over fifty young people aged 16-21 to develop skills in writing, acting, design, directing and film making.
Having now presented their first three productions – Three (2022) a piece of street theatre performed in Margaret Powell Square; a series of fifteen short monologues (2023); and Not A Game For Girls (2024) it is time to reflect upon the past three years.
