The Next Chapter
A relaxed discussion to influence the creation of a new artwork about archives.
FREE l 14 - 25 years | Thursday 14 September | 5.30 - 7.30pm | MK Central Library
Archives are collections of first-hand information created to preserve; tell stories; and increase our sense of identity and understanding of cultures. But what does an archive reimagined for today and for tomorrow look like? How does it capture the dynamism and diversity of being young in Milton Keynes? How is it selective yet inclusive? How can it be ‘live’? Can an archive create social change? And where does creativity fit into the conversation?
Join Offset Projects for a relaxed discussion where you’ll have the chance to influence a new artwork designed to transform the possibilities of archiving.
Please note that this event is for anyone aged 14-25. It’s especially perfect for those interested in art, history, sociology & communities. A sociable and friendly atmosphere is guaranteed, and snacks will be plentiful!
